No. There must be a minimum of five associates from any Kohl’s location volunteering for three consecutive hours at each event. You are able to see the sign-up list for any event you've submitted. We also recommend keeping an open line of communication with any of the Kohl's contacts you've made prior to the event to help confirm volunteer participation.
No. If the event did not take place, the organization will not be eligible for the volunteer dollar reward. If the event is not being rescheduled, it should be canceled in the Benevity Causes Portal.
Benevity disburses volunteer rewards* on a monthly basis. Assuming that all associates tracked their time within two weeks after the event, the event will be approved for payment the following month, and paid out the month after. (i.e. Event happens mid-May, hours are approved in June, and the nonprofit receives reward at the end of July.)
*Volunteer Rewards are visible on the Charity Profile within the "Donation Source Summary" report. For more information, visit Benevity Causes Portal.
As all events are managed at an individual level, please start with any contacts you have been directly in touch with, such as the Kohl’s Event Captain at the store directly.
All Benevity Causes Portal questions should go directly to Benevity by clicking Charity Support Request within the portal or by emailing causes@benevity.org.
