Any qualified youth-serving non-profit organization can benefit from the program.
Proof of nonprofit status can be:
- A copy of the IRS notice acknowledging you as a 501(c)3 organization
- A letter of determination from your state recognizing you as a nonprofit organization
This program is intended to be an ongoing fundraiser since families shop at Kohl’s all year long. Kohl’s Cares® Fundraising Gift Cards are available in denominations of $10, $25, $50 and $100. Cards are sold to the organizations at a discount of 5% for purchases over $1,000 and 3% for total purchases from $500 to $999. The fundraising groups then sell the purchased cards at face value, keeping the remaining profits.
Example: Your organization has 10 families who order $100 worth of Kohl’s Cares Fundraising Gift Cards every month for one year. That is $12,000 in sales which raises $600 for your organization!
