Kohl’s Cares Shopping Grants Help Spread Holiday Cheer to Communities Nationwide

Kohl’s supports communities across the country with more than $150,000 in grants to help nonprofits in need

This GivingTuesday, Kohl’s is celebrating the incredible nonprofits that received a $1,000 Kohl’s Cares® Shopping Grant as part of more than $150,000 in donations supporting communities across the country this holiday season.

Kohl’s stores nationwide nominated local organizations — including regional chapters of Boys & Girls Clubs of America, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Habitat for Humanity, Make-A-Wish, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and the YMCA — to help them spread a little extra cheer this season.

With their grants, these nonprofits purchased gifts and essential items for the people they serve, including kids and teenagers, veterans, cancer patients, and families in need. Shopping carts were filled with cozy winter coats, home goods, clothing basics, and heartwarming holiday gifts.

“The Shopping Grant events at Kohl’s signal a pause,” said Zach Bradner, Nashville district manager. “We stop and think of our community, our purpose, and the one thing that is free to give but priceless to receive: kindness.”

Funding is made possible through Kohl’s Cares Goods For Good™, which donates 100 percent of the net profit to nonprofits supporting families nationwide.
