Kohl’s Celebrates Diverse Holiday Traditions

How we’re helping customers make the season bright for memories that will last a lifetime

At Kohl’s, we are dedicated to championing diversity to create a more equitable and inclusive environment for our people, our customers and our communities. While holiday celebrations may look different than previous years, we know one of the constants that makes the holidays so magical are the traditions shared and memories made with loved ones. Now, more than ever, we recognize the importance of celebrating with our families, both chosen and given, and sharing the special traditions that give us a sense of belonging. The season is full of diverse celebrations from Hanukkah, to Kwanzaa, to Christmas, and more — and Kohl’s is helping customers celebrate these moments through our merchandise assortment, marketing channels and overall shopping experience.

The weather outside may be frightful, but with outdoor apparel for the family from favorite brands like Eddie Bauer, Lands’ End, and Columbia, Kohl’s has you covered for any caroling, holiday light viewing, and chestnut-roasting gatherings. Kohl's is also your destination for holiday decorations, like Christmas trees, stockings, ornaments, and lots of other items designed to add festive appeal to your home.

Giving is such an important part of the season, and whether you are celebrating Hanukkah, Christmas, Kwanzaa, or Three Kings Day, Kohl’s has the perfect gifts for everyone on your list.

  • With a reflective representation of dolls to inspire every imagination, Kohl’s offers a diverse assortment that features dolls with a wide range of eye colors, skin tones, hair colors and hair types.

  • Presentville offers great small gifts for stocking stuffers, Three Kings Day, or a White Elephant gifting tradition. Or even the perfect ugly sweater for parties and get-togethers this season.

Celebrating through music

The holidays are a perfect time for singing, dancing, and celebrating - from hosting a family dance party, to sharing artistic talents during Kwanzaa. Turn up the volume with the JBL Flip 5 Portable Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker or the Victrola Hawthorne Wooden Music Center and let the little ones join in with the Melissa & Doug Band-in-a-Box. Kohl’s has all you need for a rockin’ good time. And, don’t forget dancing shoes!

Ringing in the new year
Welcome the new year, however you choose — whether going out or staying in, hosting a party, or keeping cozy with a family game night, Kohl’s can help ring in the season with items like the Food Network™ Modesto 4-pc. Champagne Flute Set, family games, and festive apparel to celebrate in style.

Connecting with customers in-stores and online
This year, Kohl’s in-store and digital creative assets go beyond the traditional holiday colors of red and green, into a beautiful pattern that strives to represent all of the season's celebrations and traditions, incorporating a Kwanzaa Kinara, Menorah for Hanukkah, and crowns to represent Three Kings Day.

Kohl’s will also be highlighting various traditions within social channels this year, including a social media campaign that invites customers to get in on the celebration with the creation of their own TikTok content. Throughout the season, Kohl’s shoppers can demonstrate how they give with all their hearts and share their special family traditions and memories as part of our first-ever holiday TikTok challenge. Kohl’s will also be sharing an interactive experience on Pinterest, where pinners can enjoy an immersive, shoppable 360 experience which allows users to explore the 360 room and click on different hotspots that contain curated holiday gifts for everyone on their list. The experience nods to different types of holidays and celebrations for belongingness and inclusivity for all groups.
