Kohl’s Makes Holiday Returns Easy

Kohl’s makes post-holiday returns and exchanges simple and stress-free, thanks to its free in-store returns and an extended holiday return window. 

Kohl’s generous return policy allows customers to return most items within 90 days of purchase, or within 120 days when paid for with a Kohl’s Card. This means purchases in November and December can be returned through the end of January. To give early holiday shoppers extra flexibility, Kohl’s extended its policy so that most items purchased between Oct. 5-31 can also be returned through Jan. 31, 2026. Exceptions include Sephora at Kohl’s beauty purchases made Oct. 31-Dec. 30, which can be returned through Jan. 31, 2026.

Customers can make returns with or without a receipt at any Kohl’s store. For returns made without a receipt, shoppers will need an order number, Kohl’s Rewards account, credit card information, or the return barcode in the Kohl’s App. With a gift receipt, shoppers can receive a Kohl’s Merchandise Credit based on the lowest discounted 13-week sale price for the item or choose an exchange.
