Kohl’s Surprises Boys & Girls Clubs with Shopping Sprees

In celebration of Kohl’s partnership with Boys & Girls Clubs of America and 20 years of Kohl’s Cash, Kohl’s Cares surprised Clubs across the country with $2,000 shopping sprees at their local stores. Youth from Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Greater Tarrant County, Northeast Ohio, Chicago, and Metro Atlanta picked out the latest styles, footwear, backpacks, and more, so they can step into the fall season with confidence.

“When kids have the chance to choose clothes they feel proud of, it gives them confidence that shows at school and in our community,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Tarrant County CEO/President Daphne Barlow Stigliano. “Support from Kohl’s makes that possible, and we’re thankful for their generosity.”

Helping youth boost their self-esteem and strengthen their mental well-being is an important part of Kohl’s Cares philanthropic work to support nonprofits improving the health and wellness of families nationwide. Through the partnership with BGCA, Kohl’s and our associates support Clubs year-round by investing in their trauma-informed care programming, mentoring youth, hosting shop events such as these, and more.

Funding is made possible through Kohl’s Cares Goods For Good™, which donates 100 percent of the net profit to nonprofits supporting families nationwide.
