Giving back and making our communities stronger is at the heart of who we are as a company.
2016 marked the 15th anniversary of the Kohl’s volunteer program and we celebrated in a big way – by challenging our associates to give back even more. As always, they delivered. Last year, associate volunteer efforts resulted in nearly $24 million in grants to nonprofit organizations across the country – the highest giving total in the program’s history.

Celebrating 15 Years of Giving Back
Associates at 100 percent of our Kohl’s locations across the country gave their time and talent last year to support and causes they are passionate about including health, childhood hunger, community development, education and the environment. From New York City to Milpitas, California, and countless cities in between, Kohl’s associates came together to volunteer nearly half a million hours of their time to benefit more than 9,000 nonprofits nationwide.
Kohl’s volunteer program is one aspect of the company’s overall philanthropic platform, Kohl’s Cares, which includes the Kohl’s Cares Hospital Program and Kohl’s Cares cause merchandise. As we look to the year ahead, families across the country can continue to count on Kohl’s to support the communities and causes that matter to our customers and associates.
