Kohl’s Associates Volunteer More Than 21,000 Hours During April’s Spring into Service Initiative

Volunteer events included nearly 5,000 associates across the country

During the month of April, nearly 5,000 Kohl's associates participated in our Spring into Service volunteer initiative. Associates tallied more than 21,000 volunteer hours across the country in 30 days. Volunteer events  included environmental and animal humane society cleanups, fundraising events and food bank assistance, beautification projects, care package creation, and more. Communities impacted ranged from underserved youth, cancer patients and survivors, military families and veterans, and seniors, to victims of domestic violence, people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and others.

Through the Kohl’s Volunteer Program, all qualifying nonprofits were eligible for a $50 reward in recognition of every hour volunteered, which is double the amount typically donated. In total, more than $1 million has been committed to nonprofits through our 2023 Spring into Service initiative.

Giving back to our community is a source of pride for Kohl’s and our associates. Through the Kohl’s Volunteer Program, associates can identify, connect with, and impact nonprofits they are passionate about. Any Kohl’s associate can choose a local, qualifying nonprofit to volunteer with and, in recognition of that associate’s volunteer time, Kohl’s will also give the nonprofit a grant. Since the program began in 2001, more than $187 million in rewards have been donated to eligible nonprofits across the country through more than 5.6 million volunteer hours.
