Associate Volunteer Challenge Nets $10 Million Donation
In November of 2016, we kicked off the season of giving by announcing Kohl’s would give $10 million in grants to nonprofits across the country, following a month-long volunteer challenge to commemorate the 15th anniversary of our associate volunteer program. Throughout October, thousands of Kohl’s Associates donated their time to take part in a record-breaking number of volunteer events, spending more than 115,000 hours serving our communities. Kohl’s Cares Holiday Merchandise – Together We Can Do More for Kids
Kohl’s is proud to offer the new Kohl’s Cares holiday collection featuring beloved hardcover books and classic characters including Curious George, Paddington, Madeline and Corduroy through the end of December. Each piece is priced at $5 each, with 100 percent of the net profit benefiting children’s health initiatives nationwide.
New this holiday season, Kohl’s Cares offers gift givers a novel assortment of incredible items for the entire family! Items like Christmas Movie Trivia or no-sew fleece throw are perfect for stockings or under the tree. Pieces are priced at $5, $8, and $12 each, with 100 percent of the net profit supporting children’s initiatives nationwide. Both collections are available in store and on Kohls.com, and are the perfect way for customers to #GiveALittleMore this holiday season.
Bringing Holiday Cheer to Children in Milwaukee
To brighten the holiday season for hundreds of deserving children, Kohl’s delivered truckloads of nearly 1,000 beautifully wrapped gifts, donated by Kohl’s Associates at our corporate campus, to children served by Penfield Children’s Center in Milwaukee, Wis. Since 2001, our Associates truly have Given A Little More to ensure every child has a present under the tree. Bringing smiles to children’s faces – that’s what the season of giving is all about!
Kohl’s Gives A Little More to TODAY
Jon Grosso, Kohl’s executive vice president and director of stores, stopped by the TODAY Show on Friday, December 9, to announce a donation of nearly a half million dollars’ worth of Kohl’s Cares merchandise to the TODAY Show Toy Drive. This is the 12th year Kohl’s has participated in the toy drive and has donated more than $25 million worth of children’s books and plush to the drive. Kohl’s Surprises Milwaukee Public School Teachers
On Friday, December 16, Kohl’s and Associate volunteers made a surprise visit to Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) to announce a gift of $50,000 in AdoptAClassroom.org gift cards MPS teachers. The gift cards will help teachers fund classroom essentials they might otherwise purchase with money from their own pockets. We know how much these teachers give to their students all year long, and this was the perfect opportunity to say thank you and celebrate them.
