Kohl’s Update on Black Friday Week Shopping

11/27/2020

Kohl’s kicked off its Black Friday Week savings earlier than ever this year, with customers around the country taking advantage of incredible savings on top holiday gifts beginning Sunday, Nov. 22. With Black Friday Week shopping well underway at Kohl’s, here’s a look at a few early highlights:

  • Customers were drawn to hot items including electronics like Amazon kids tablets and the Fitbit Versa 2 smartwatch, healthy and convenient kitchen electrics like Ninja Foodi and KitchenAid Stand Mixers, smart home products including the Amazon Echo Show and Google Nest WiFi router, and gaming systems like Nintendo Switch, among others.
  • Cozy and comfortable products for the whole family have been some of the most searched items including slippers, pajamas, sweaters, and throw blankets. In fact, Kohl’s sold more than 150 The Big One throw blankets per minute on Sunday, Nov. 22 alone.
  • In addition to electronics, kitchen electrics and smart home, some of the most popular categories with customers also included cookware, utility bedding, active, and beauty.
  • Approximately 75% of Kohls.com visits came through mobile devices versus desktop or laptop computers.
  • We are seeing a significant increase in customers choosing to pick up online orders at their local Kohl’s store over last year, with more than 50% of all Store Pick Up orders completed by customers using our contactless Drive Up service.
