Establish healthy habits with Kohl’s wellness ambassadors
It’s time to get the family moving! Some days, making it to the gym just isn’t a reality, especially when trying to coordinate multiple schedules. However, that doesn’t mean you can’t get active at home. Kohl’s wellness ambassadors, Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott at Tone It Up, recently paid a visit to our corporate office to share tips for getting a great workout in wherever you are and how to motivate your family to stay active.
No Gym? No Problem!
While most of us think of working out as going to the gym and hitting the treadmill, there’s so many fun and different ways to get the family moving together. Take a hike in a local park, split into two teams for a friendly soccer match or set up an informal bike race to get that heart pumping. It’s important to be active, but more important to do it with people you love.
Being fit isn’t just about working out. It’s also about your diet as well. Karena & Katrina offer amazing recipes from the super slim burger to a coconut macaroon cookie to a great tropical paradise smoothie. Meal prepping also helps the family stay on track as the week ahead fills up with piano lessons, carpools and more. If you have an amazing meal waiting for you at home, it’s much easier to avoid the drive-thru.
You’re getting active and eating well, but it’s also important to take care of your mental well-being. Karena and Katrina stress the importance of doing things for you and treating yourself every now and then. Enjoy that scoop of ice cream or take some time to read that book that’s been sitting on your bedside table. You earned it!
