Kohl’s Introduces New Interactive Experiences for Customers this Holiday Season

This season, Kohl’s is giving customers new ways to inspire their holiday shopping. From personalized gifting recommendations using AI technology to Kohl’s influencers top holiday picks, Kohl’s is using technology and social media tools to help customers find all the best gifts for their family and friends. 

Kohl’s Storybook Magic
Kohl’s is bringing this holiday to life with AI technology to create a one-of-a-kind holiday storybook poem with personalized gifting woven throughout. Kohl’s Storybook Magic, now available online at Kohlsstorybookmagic.com, provides customers with holiday feels through shareable content and gifting inspiration – elevating their gifting this season. When using the platform, customers will be able to input details about themselves or their gift recipient, such as their favorite hobbies and interests. From there, the gift generator will utilize AI technology to provide a customized story catered to the recipients' personality giving their gifts an extra magical touch this season. 

Customers can interact with Kohl’s Storybook Magic in person on Nov. 17 for a one-day-only pop-up experience located at the Lodge at Bryant Park in New York City. Open from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. EST, guests will enjoy a holiday arcade experience that brings Kohl’s AI technology platform to life. The event will feature an interactive snow globe that will generate guests’ stories and gift recommendations in real time. The first 1,000 customers will be gifted a $5 Kohl's Cash coupon.

Kohl’s is also helping customers connect and easily discover holiday favorites through Kohl’s influencers and social media collaborations.

  • Holiday “Kohl’s or Coal” AR Lenses: This cross-platform Augmented Reality Lens, featured on Snapchat, TikTok, and Meta, provides gifting inspiration for the entire family. When using the lens, users are walked through pairing gifts with their loved ones and ultimately deciding whether they will receive a Kohl's gift or Coal. Using platform randomization technology, this platform emulates AI experiences in providing Kohl's gift recommendations for the whole family.
  • Kohl’s Influencer Storefronts: To take the search out of holiday shopping and inspire meaningful conversions, Kohl’s is bringing back influencer storefronts on Kohls.com. Kohl’s influencers will now have personalized pages on Kohls.com where they can share their favorite holiday gifts found at Kohl’s. Each page will be completely unique to the creator featuring social content on their feeds that feature Kohl’s items and a customized assortment that the creator is able to update in real time with their favorite items.   • Kohl’s Holiday Livestreams: Featuring holiday favorites for the entire family, Kohl’s will host eight livestreams throughout November and December to make gifting easier for shoppers. Hand selected by Kohl’s influencers, Kohl’s associates and Sephora beauty experts, customers will be able to watch and shop this season's must-have items through Kohl’s livestreams on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.
