This Women’s History Month, Kohl’s is proud to celebrate women pioneers while shining a light on the voices of women today. We understand that living a fulfilled life is different for each and every one of us, so we’re centering our Women’s History Month celebrations around the theme of “Better Together,” with associates embracing womanhood and sharing what this month means to them. For our customers, we’re excited to share a wide-ranging product assortment that embraces all skin tones, hair textures and bodies developed by Kohl’s women creators and designers.

“Each March we are honored to recognize Women’s History Month and the accomplishments of women both past and present to our culture and society,” said Michelle A. Banks, Kohl’s chief diversity, equity and inclusion officer. “I am proud of the way Kohl’s continues to create an inclusive environment for our women associates that promotes empowerment, engagement, leadership exposure, and development opportunities. We look forward to celebrating and reflecting on the trailblazing women who lead the way for change throughout our communities nationwide.”

The Inspiration Behind the Collection
Women’s History Month starts with our women associates, designers and leaders. Keep reading to learn more about their inspirations and messages behind Kohl’s Women History Month designs:

  • “My inspiration behind my designs was nature and portraying women as a source of life in the community and family. Women are like a tree –  beautiful, strong and rooted. Women provide shelter and substance, amongst so many other things.” - Jessica Alexander, Human Resources Analyst (She/Her)
  • “I was inspired by women’s mental health and more importantly women taking the time for self care in all aspects of their lives.” - Michelle Mennel, Advanced Artist-Women’s Sleepwear (She/Her)
  • “The story I want to showcase is that women are empowered, strong, and determined. Women also hold the power of resiliency, which is extremely important to me.”- Pa Chang Her, Associate Designer-Jumping Beans Girls (She/Her)
  • “The story I always want to bring to my art is positivity. For this art I really want to amplify the work of all mothers and show appreciation for their hard work. With the joyful flowers and fun colors I hope that women everywhere look at this and think of their Mom!” - Katelyn Yoder, Artist - Womens, LC Lauren Conrad (She/Her)

Empowering the Next Generation of Women
This Women’s History Month, Kohl's is proud to expand its support of Boys & Girls Clubs of America through an investment of $100,000 in the SMART girls program, which helps Club members maintain healthy lifestyles, build positive relationships, understand the influence of social media, and navigate adolescence.

Since 2021, Kohl’s has donated $300,000 to the Boys & Girls Clubs of America SMART girls program. The donation builds on the company’s broader commitment to donate $20 million in support of diverse communities by 2025.

Celebrating Together
In the coming weeks, our Women’s Business Resource Group (WBRG) will host a number of events for our associates. The group will start the month with cookie sponsorships to educate fellow associates on the WBRG’s mission and host social hours for networking. The WBRG will also participate in other experiences such as leadership panels, “Share Your Story” social hours and community volunteer events. In the meantime, tune in to Life at Kohl’s Instagram for more throughout Women’s History Month and all year long.
